I do belive its the miracle tea ... Great for all kinds of things!!Does green tea cleanse your colon, making you have more frequent bowel movements?
Just so you know 3 is good. You should have a BM every time you eat. It has not been proved to cleanse colon, But tea is made from water and the extra hydration could be what is helping your regularity. Dehydration = Constipation. Hydration = Regularity
I hope the below article will be of help to you.

Go green, with green tea

2007/04/22

Tea is the most widely consumed liquid after water. Seen here are women plucking green leaves at a tea garden in Bangladesh's northeastern Sylhet district.

Apart from drinking it in leaf form, you can also ingest green tea supplements. Now, even beauty-care companies have incorporated it into their products. Just what is so special about green tea? YEANG SOO CHING gets curious.

BLACK tea, oolong tea, green tea; whichever variety your cup of tea is, why do you drink it? For its well-documented health benefits? For its supposed slimming power? Or perhaps you drink tea because it soothes your stomach, especially after a greasy meal, and you have become addicted over the years!

Tea is definitely addictive because of its caffeine but of the three main types of tea, green tea contains the least caffeine. This does not give you licence to overindulge as too much of a good thing is bad for you.

Green tea is a ';true'; tea in the sense that it undergoes minimal oxidation during processing as compared to black and oolong tea. If you're living in Japan, you will know how ubiquitous green tea is in the land of the cherry blossom. Called nihoncha, the very best of Japanese green tea is said to be from the Uji region of Kyoto. The most well-known Chinese green tea comes from Hangzhou, and is called longjing, which means ';dragon well';. This variety is pan-fried and is of longish flat shape, with a distinctive fresh taste.

There are also green tea from Ceylon, Darjeeling (a town in the Indian state of West Bengal), Vietnam and Assam in India. In China, Japan, India and Thailand, green tea has consistently been used as traditional medicine to treat ailments and for general wellbeing.

Made from unfermented leaves and containing the highest concentration of antioxidants called polyphenols compared to the other teas, green tea is purportedly healthy. While it will take time for researchers to investigate and substantiate all the medical claims associated with green tea, a large amount of indirect evidence suggests its high safety and many potential health benefits.

In the case of skin benefits, for example, both human and animal studies have shown that topical green tea formulations reduce sun damage. This sun protection is apparently due to its ability to quench free radicals and reduce inflammation rather than by blocking UV rays. Therefore, researchers say green tea can enhance sun protection when used in synergy with a sunscreen.

More human studies are needed to determine the scope of anti-ageing skin benefits of green tea. While the research continues, many skincare and cosmetic companies have already incorporated green tea into their products, and consumers are highly delighted with them. For that invigorating feel of green tea, check out these products:

L'Occitane Green Tea Leaf Body Gel.

next 禄

What: A green tea gel to bring relief to tired body and aching legs.

When: Apply all over the body at any time of the day.

Action: This cooling, light gel looks as inviting as it smells! It is easy to smooth over skin because of its non-greasy texture. The aesthetics are great too: comes in minty green colour and easy-to-grip bottle that has embossed details on it.

Benefits: The moment it touches the skin, there is a fresh sensation and its heavenly scent wafts up your nostrils to leave a pleasant aftermath. It is like stepping out of a bath where the water has been laced with the natural fragrance of green tea. At any time of the day, this gel relieves the sensation of ';tired legs';.

Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer

What: Prepares the face for makeup and helps maintain a flawless finish all day.

When: Apply a liberal amount to skin after moisturiser and before foundation.

Action: Massage into skin until it is no longer wet. This process stimulates the skin and increases circulation.

Benefits: This hydrating primer is silky smooth and is absorbed instantly. It is so lightweight you feel it is not there at all. It contains a soft focus ingredient that gives skin a luminous quality. With its botanical blend of lavender, orange, rose, jasmine, honey, green tea and geranium extracts, it cools, soothes and refreshes.

Where: Isetan Lot 10, U Parkson 1-Utama.

The Body Shop Green Tea Home Fragrance Oil

What: A home fragrance to enhance the environment When: Any time of the day, especially when the air is polluted.

Action: Just add a couple of drops to a burner, mix in some water to dilute it, and light a candle underneath.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Night Treatment Gel

What: This is by far the best pimple-buster I have ever come across When: In the evening, apply before you retire.

Action: I have tried so many, believe me, but what I get is peeling skin in the surrounding area due to the harsh formulations, I suppose. But this one is in a different league altogether. There may be that two seconds sting but any other pimple gel will give you that sensation. I won't go so far as to claim it is a miracle pimple gel...it takes two to three days for your pimples to subside but it's the absence of ';flaking'; that amazes me the most. My only gripe? I find the gel texture a tad too watery, resulting in me squirting more than I really need.

Benefits: This treatment gel targets the pimples only...it doesn't dry the nearby areas. The gel can be used on blemish-prone areas, or if you are expecting monthly break-outs, apply a thin layer all over the face a week or so before the expected break-out.

Where: All Clinique counters

Aesop B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel

What: Balancing gel for combination skin When: Twice a day, after toning. Action: After two years of reformulating the gel, Aesop founder Dennis Paphitis puts B Triple C back on the shelves, to the delight of those with combination skin. Why? Simply because it works superbly on combination skin. You know the problem- oily T-zone, dry cheeks...which practically requires two different moisturisers. And cream moisturisers are a no-no, that's just a fast-forward button to break-out. The gel keeps my face matte all day. No more shiny forehead. I think it's a perfect gel for men too, whose face are generally oilier. I can see this gel take permanent residence on the bathroom sink, shared between her and him. Benefits: An anti-oxidant balancing gel which contains one part vitamin B to three parts vitamin C. It mattifies my T-zone area but moisturises my cheeks. Clever, yes? Plus, it also works as a skin defence system for those living in polluted and humid areas.

Green tea facts

Tea, including green tea, is the most widely consumed liquid after water.

Green tea is green because it is not fermented.

Green tea is made from the same plant (camellia sinensis) as other teas such as black and oolong, but with a different process.

Green tea retains more health benefits than black tea because the fermentation process used to make black tea destroys nutrients.

Epigallo catechin gallate (EGCG) is the most important active compound in green tea, and is many times a more powerful antioxidant that vitamin C or vitamin E.

This EGCG is lost during fermentation of black and oolong tea but is preserved in green tea.

Green tea has been shown to increase calorie burning and fat oxidation.

While green tea contains caffeine, it has half the amount of caffeine in coffee, and far less than that contained in Coke. l Despite all its potential health and skin benefits, green tea accounts for only four per cent of all tea consumed worldwide.

  1. There is no junk in your bowels/stomach/intestine. It's just a myth. Your body cleans itself automatically. Just leave it alone and let it do it's job.
