Lovely question about bowel movements and colon cleanses?

I've been wanting to do a colon cleanse. I've never done one before. However, I heard you should do one if you are constipated and have little bowel movements. I have at least 2-3 bowel movements everyday. Should I do a colon cleanses? Is it really even necessary?Lovely question about bowel movements and colon cleanses?

colon cleanses are never recommended lightly and there is hardly any evidence that they are good for anything. If your schedule is 2 to three daily, then that is normal for you. Try eating a high fiber cereal at bedtime asa sanck, such as raisin bran, to make you have regular and maybe less daily BM's.
WHY?????? if you go two to three a day you not constipated love!

Ok, I'm not trying to sound weird or be sarcastic, but it doesn't sound like the frequency of your bowel movements are abnormal or unusual, maybe just insufficient, and that could make you feel constipated, etc...Rather than using a colon cleanser, I'd like to recommend a different, more healthy solution. We all hear how we have to eat fiber, and there are tons of fiber remedies sold over the counter and also the ex-laxes and all those products. But I found the greatest remedy of all! It works much better than oatmeal or any of the cereals with fiber. Go to a health food store and purchase a cannister of 100% psyllium husks, also 1 lb of oat bran (they sell that in bulk) and one box of ground flax seed. Krogers even carries the ground flax seed. These three ingredients are the perfect combination of the dietary fiber we all need to keep our colon cleansed and functioning normal. When you get these home, measure one cup of the psyllium, 1/2 cup of the oat bran, and 1/2 cup of the ground flax seed. Mix together in a big zip lock bag until well blended. Of course you can double and triple the recipe amounts to last longer. Then buy a jar of your favorite apple sauce and take two heaping Tablespoons of the fiber mixture and add about three Tablespoons applesauce (more or less) in a small bowl and mix together. Have a glass of water ready and take a bite of the fiber mixture and drink some water, repeat until gone. Do this once a day and I promise you you will have the healthiest bowel movements you've ever had in your life! The fiber attatches to the food you digest and expands in your colon, and the water helps it expand, thus removing any and all impurities in your colon in a very natural and healthy way. It may not be the greatest tasting, but it's not THAT bad either, especially with the applesause, (you can even add a little brown sugar if you like) but I guarantee you will have the greatest poops in the world! lol I really hope you try it, and make it a daily routine. I used to have irritable bowel syndrome, one day could be constipated, next have diareah. I havn't had either since I started this routine, and that's been about two years ago. There is nothing like a good healthy poop! So I hope you can start to have them soon. TC
the necessity is questionable...the idea of cleaning ones colon is humorous...it makes you think of it as a dirty place in need of flushing out, in need of cleaning...this can be very dangerous from a medical standpoint and totally unnecessary...if you are having 2-3 movements a day, that is not the norm...a daily or one every 1-3 days is the healthy norm...constipation and diarrhea are symptoms of abnormalcy...diet, stress or disease can cause one to alter from the norm...do not fall for this hype..you do not need to be cleansed...you're not constipated if you are having 2-3 movements a day....
